The month of Bangabda is calculated on the basis of the position of the Sun in the constellations in the sky. For example, the month when the Sun is in Aries is called Boishakh. In a circular issued on 22 January 1972, this day was celebrated as a national day in Bangladesh and was officially declared a holidayAfter 9 months of fighting, on 16 December 1971, at Suhrawardy Udyan in Dhaka, about 91,634 members of the Pakistani army formally surrendered to the joint forces of Bangladesh and India. As a result, a new independent and sovereign state called Bangladesh emerged in the heart of the world. In India too, this day is celebrated as Victory Day
