 Multiple colors are applied down the length of each strand of yarn in a space dyeing/yarn printing process, which may or may not repeat after a predetermined interval. It's a technique for creating a multi-colored look in yarn.

Dip dyed yarn is a term used to describe space colored yarn. Space dyeing refers to the application of dyes and chemicals in specific locations using any method that can generate a specific color effect on the yarn or on a yarn packaging according to the design. Hanks or skein printing:

 To create the required multi-color appearance, the ready-to-dye yarn in hank form is placed on a stand or laid on a suitable surface, and then different colors are applied by brush or spraying at predetermined points. Although this approach allows for regulated yarn colouring at certain locations and lengths, it is inconvenient and time-consuming, and it is best suited to short-length fabrics.

After knitting, weaving, ornamental stitching, or embroidery, space colored yarns are used to create stunning effects. The length and arrangement of the colored bands are determined by the intended effect.

Space dyeing in package form:

 There are two ways for yarn printing in package form, depending on the technology available and the desired result.

Color are injected by hand or machine at various locations throughout the packaging using a syringe filled with dye solution. The technicians' skill set allows them to inject the needle by hand or by machine.

The dip stick method is another variation of this procedure. In this scenario, different parts of the yarn package are dipped in separate dye solutions so that numerous colors are applied in different places and with variable intensities, resulting in a distinctive fancy colored effect once the yarn is unwound.

Currently, overseas purchasers are looking for high-end textiles. Bangladeshi producers are also creating space dyed cloth in order to survive and increase market value. Manual space dyeing/yarn printing is the most often used technique (inject dyeing). Bangladesh has a few facilities that manufacture space dyed textiles. Dye tanks, cylinders, oil boxes, injecting needles, color suction pumps, and other components make up the space dyeing/yarn printing equipment. The machine's most important components are detailed below.


Dyeing machine


Dyes Tank:

 The first step before injecting color is to prepare the dyes solution. The machine has four tanks in which we may produce a solution of four different colors with all of the necessary ingredients for consistent dyeing. Each tank has a stirring motor and a steam pipe, which aid in color mixing and heating as needed.


Storage/printing cylinders:

 There are eight storage/printing cylinders attached to the injecting needle. Every two cylinders carry the same color from one dyes tank, which is then distributed to 08 distinct injecting needles in two heads. Each cylinder has a 1 liter capacity. The cylinder is used to temporarily hold dye solutions that must be injected. 08 ltr dyes solution is utilized from 04 tanks to 08 cylinders to print 2 pkg. It functions virtually identically to a syringe used in medical therapy.


Dyeing machine

Bobbin holder:

 The bobbin holder has a pressing head that presses the packet from the top, keeping the yarn package in place.

The color supply line is used to modify the needle head. For each package, a 04 needle head is utilized to cover the whole package surface. From top to bottom, each needle head comprises 04 needles that pierce the packaging and absorb released colors.

Printing needle: The machine has 32 needles, each with 05 pores, that transmit the liquor from the cylinder to the package using hydraulic pressing and air pressure.

Motor

Hydraulic pressing/oil box: This machine's whole function or movement is controlled by hydraulic pressure generated by an oil box. To move the cylinder, needle pad, and bobbin holder, the oil box generates 100 bar of pressure.
